When I first made contact with The Reach Approach to ask for help, I felt a bit like a fraud – because I didn’t really feel I deserved counselling as my life hadn’t been bad enough! I couldn’t work out why I wasn’t happy because everything seemed to be in place. To everyone else, I was just being ungrateful because I had no money worries, I had healthy children, I was working, there was nothing obviously wrong.

I was so relieved when Easton Hamilton helped me to understand the ‘void’ I felt, the emptiness inside, the lack of motivation and complete absence of joy. He didn’t make me feel like I was wasting his time and he showed me how to revive my sense of self, how to be the best person I could be, how to appreciate life, moment by moment, and appreciate myself too.

I’d thought that unless you have had some enormous trauma then you should simply be able to ‘get on with it’ but I just couldn’t. I was depressed, I see that now, and The Reach Approach website has been such a wonderful help to me as I have gradually moved back towards wellness.

I have loved the videos like Being The Best You Can Be and The Power of Choice, but my favourite is Asking for Nothing and it’s beautiful message of altruism. These videos and the help I received have changed my life. If you feel anything like I did, why not have a look at the website www.thereachapproach.co.uk because there is so much there I’m sure you’ll find something that will help you too.
